This site includes four products --- all freely available --- designed to help mathematics departments create, implement, and improve mathematics courses for K-8 teachers:
- An Instructor's Manual that provides guidance to instructors and departments.
- Annotated Lecture Notes (especially useful for new instructors).
- Sample exams that can be given to students for practice.
- An Exam Generator, based on a bank of over 1200 carefully-selected questions, that enables instructors to quickly create quizzes and exams.
These resources are available to instructors (not students) after creating an account and loging in.
The key motivating idea for this project is the existence of an intellectual domain calledmathematics knowledge for teaching that includes mathematics content knowledge and aspects of pedagogy, but is a distinct body of knowledge.
